Estimating
Due to the fact most projects are not as cut
and dry as we all would like, many estimates are
difficult to stay within the perimeter of what
was originally agreed upon. Customers should recognize
that a restoration project is a ever changing
procedure. As a repair facility we must adapt
with what ever situation arises, most common is
the uncovering of hidden rust. Rust is a situation
that increases the amount of labor, cost of materials
and in some cases additional parts cost. Variables
that come into play during a restoration project
can be found below.
Variables
- Hidden Sheet metal rust, most rust starts
in hidden areas not easily seen until work begins.
- Purchase of extra repair panels, due to hidden
rust.
- Repair panels unavailable, these panels must
be fabricated.
- Missing or wrong trim and interior panels.
- Additional requests by customer.
Due to some of the above variables, customers
should recognize that the beginning estimate can
not always be the final cost for repairs. For
questions please call 316-265-2029. We hope to
become your partner, turning your car into a classic. |
